
Core Skills Training Services (RTO #46481) offers Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training (BSBWHS411 + BSBWHS414) which is designed for statutory supervisors in the Western Australian mining industry. It covers work health and safety and risk management knowledge and skills, meeting the requirements under Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (WA).
After completing the training, you must register and pass a legislation examination. From 1 July 2025, the examination is administered by the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) and the Department of Mines, Petroleum & Exploration (DMPE).
All statutory supervisors in Western Australia must complete the prescribed units BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs and BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management by 31 March 2026.

How is the training delivered?
Training is delivered via online distance self-paced learning and training.
Training Duration: This training is designed to be completed in 2 days.
Expected Study Hours: Typical learners are expected to spend approximately 16 hours depending on existing knowledge, skills, and experience.
After completing training, students must register and pass the legislation examination administered by LGIRS and DMPE.

What will you learn?
This training is designed to develop your expertise in providing first aid. Among others, you will learn to:
- Provide information to work team about WHS policies and procedures
- Implement and monitor work team consultative arrangements for managing WHS
- Implement and monitor organisational procedures for providing WHS training to work team
- Implement and monitor organisational procedures and legal requirements for identifying hazards, and assessing and controlling risks
- Implement and monitor organisational procedures for maintaining WHS records
- Access information and data used t o identify hazards, and to assess and control risks
- Contribute to identifying risk management requirements and compliance
- Contribute to workplace hazard identification
- Contribute to WHS risk assessment
- Contribute to developing and implementing risk controls
- Contribute to evaluating effectiveness of risk controls

All learners will be assessed through:
- Online assessments through eSkilled LMS
- Video uploaded scenario-based assessments
What are the entry requirements?
There are no prerequisites required to enrol in this training. However, it is preferred that students:
- Are 18 years of age and over
- Have at least Year 10 English proficiency level, or equivalent*
- Have basic numeracy skills*
- Have sufficient digital literacy skills
- Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier) Number
*Learners who do not meet the LLN requirements of the training may still enrol into the training provided the enrolment has been endorsed by the trainer and corresponding additional support strategies have been put in place.

What are the training fees?
The Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training is available for only $750.00 (upfront payment).

Due to the high risk nature of this unit and licensing requirements all learners must complete the unit via the Learning and Assessment Pathway.
