
Core Skills Training Services (RTO #46481) offers TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck unit of competency which provides you with the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant.
Where can it take your career?
The TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck is the latest nationally accredited unit of competency for persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. This course is perfect for learners who want to become a forklift truck operator.

How is the course delivered?
Training is delivered via Pre-course learning + face-to-face training.
Course Duration: This course is designed to be completed in 2 days.
Expected Study Hours: Typical learners are expected to spend approximately 20 hours depending on existing knowledge, skills, and experience.
After the unit of competency’s assessment, students must complete the NAI which includes written knowledge, calculations, and practical assessment conducted by an accredited WorkSafe WA assessor under regulator conditions.

All learners will be assessed through:
- Questioning – Written or Verbal
- Scenario-based assessments
- Practical skills demonstration assessments
What are the entry requirements?
- Are 18 years of age and over
- Have at least Year 10 English proficiency level, or equivalent*
- Have basic numeracy skills*
- Have sufficient digital literacy skills
- Must have good general health and fitness for practicals (operating a forklift truck)
- Have 100 points of identification (i.e. passport, driver’s license, birth certificate, proof of address)
- Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier) Number
*Learners who do not meet the LLN requirements of the course may still enrol into the course provided the enrolment has been endorsed by the trainer and corresponding additional support strategies have been put in place. Interpreters are not allowed in this course as per NAI Assessment Guidelines for Persons Performing High Risk Work

Students must arrange their access to:
- Safety boots
- Computer/Smartphone
- Access to internet to complete online learning
- A printer for pre-course material to be printed and completed prior to day one of training.
What are the course fees?
The TLILIC0003 course is available for only $400.00 (upfront payment).
Successful completion of this unit of competency does not automatically result in a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL). The National Assessment Instrument (NAI) is the mandated assessment for this unit and must be successfully completed before lodging an HRWL application. Each student is required lodge their own application. HRWL application will incur additional fees and require submission of identity documents.

Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?
Due to the high risk nature of this unit and licensing requirements all learners must complete the unit via the Learning
and Assessment Pathway.
